On October 15, 2022, on the occasion of 5 years since the establishment of the International Society for Applied Chess, the Second International Scientific Conference "Bio-psycho-social applications of the game of chess" was held.The event was organized online by the International Applied Chess Society, Central Institute for Mental Health - Mannheim, Germany, National Sports Academy "V. Levski", Bulgaria. There were participants from Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, Bulgaria. Among them were representatives of the World Chess Federation - FIDE, Munich Chess Academy, Kyiv Day Center for Medical and Social Rehabilitation, etc. The event was moderated by Prof. Sabine Vollstaedt-Klein from the Central Institute for Mental Health in Mannheim, Germany. Various aspects of the application of the chess game were presented - therapy, training, consulting, social work, scientific research.
